Knitting: I-Cord
A knitting I-cord is a narrow, tube-like piece of knitting created using just a few stitches (usually 3 to 5) on double-pointed needles, a circular needle, or even using a knitting loom or a special I-cord maker. It’s called an “I-cord” because Elizabeth Zimmermann (a legendary knitter) humorously said the “I” stands for “idiot”—as in “idiot cord”—because it’s so simple to make.
