Knitting: k3tog (knit 3 stitches together)

It’s a decrease stitch — it turns three stitches into one, reducing your stitch count by two.

How to Do k3tog (Knit 3 Together):

  1. Insert your right-hand needle through the front loops of the next three stitches on your left needle — all at once — as if to knit.
  2. Wrap your working yarn around the right-hand needle as you normally would for a knit stitch.
  3. Pull the yarn through all three stitches at the same time.
  4. Slip the three old stitches off the left needle together.

You’ve now made one stitch out of three, producing a right-leaning decrease that’s steeper than a regular k2tog.
